Hello readers! I have a great recipe to share with you today! I recommend printing the recipe and starting this ASAP.
Who doesn't love fresh, crispy, chewy chocolate chip cookies?
This is a recipe I found on Pinterest and I don't know the original blog. I did make a few slight changes. I'm not sure if it actually changed the outcome or not. I omitted the use of corn starch. I try to watch GMO's and all that jazz so I try to stay away from 99% of corn products.
Chocolate Chips Cookies
2 1/4 Cup AP Flour
1 tsp Baking Soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 sticks butter, melted
3/4 cup brown sugar, loosely packed
1/2 cup sugar
1 large egg
1 egg yolk
2 tsp vanilla
1 cup chocolate chips
Mix flour, baking soda, and salt. Set Aside. In a small sauce pan melt the butter. Whisk sugars together in a second bowl until there are no lumps. Stir in the butter. When butter is mixed in thoroughly mix in egg, egg yolk, and vanilla. Mix dry ingredients in to wet until combined. Stir in Chocolate chips. If you want to add walnuts, candies or another mix in simply substitue for some of the chocolate chips.
Let the dough chill in the fridge for an hour or more. Preheat oven to 325F. Roll 1 1/2 Tbsp dough into balls. When shaping the balls make them taller than they are wide for thick cookies. At this point you
can add a sprinkle of sea salt for a yummy sweet & salty contrast. Bake 11-13 minutes until cookies are just set. The cookies will be soft and chewy in the middle with a crispy crunch around the edges.
